DVD Helps Prepare for a Bone Marrow or Cord Blood Transplant

National Marrow Donor Program: The National Marrow Donor Program’s Office of Patient Advocacy has created a DVD to help prepare for a marrow or cord blood transplant. “Words of Experience, Stories of Hope: A Guide to Marrow and Cord Blood Transplant for Patients and Caregivers” explores the transplant experience from the perspective of patients, caregivers and transplant professionals. Cancer and Careers: This program, begun by executives in the cosmetics, fragrance and related industries, addresses the needs of more than 80 percent of cancer survivors who return to work after treatment. Cancer and Careers provides a comprehensive website, free publications and a series of support groups and educational seminars.
